Review: Only One Touch by Natasha Madison (Only One #4)

When I read that shocker of an ending in Only One Night, I started counting the days until I could get Nico Harrison and Becca Edwards's book in my greedy hands. I mean, come on! Considering these two were bound to be the next Only One couple, the lead-in to their left me gobsmacked. Well, that slightly more than a month-long wait felt like forever, but such is the case when it comes to an anticipated read, and Natasha Madison made it quite worthwhile because Nico and Becca's moving story was a roller coaster ride of emotions.

Only One Touch is the fourth novel in the Only One series, and the focus finally shifts to Nico Harrison, owner of the Dallas Oilers, and Becca Edwards, co-owner of TRI Star Sports Agency. Both have made names for themselves--Nico being the youngest team owner in the league and Becca being one of the top female sports agents aound. Their paths have crossed many times, but it takes one touch to make them more aware of each other in a whole new way. Could a promise made years ago end their promising future?

I had three words for Nico during several chapters in this book: Do. Not. Wait! Seriously, his hemming and hawing led to such heartbreak for both him and Becca, but his grand gesture had me forgiving him for his misstep. After all, he and Becca were perfect for each other, and I loved how they were together. Kudos to Natasha Madison for creating a female main character who had ambition but also knew when to put her personal well-being first. Bonus points for protective hockey players! Five stars go to Only One Touch.

Review: The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan (Roommates #1)

I do believe I've found myself a new book boyfriend to drool, erm, swoon over in Cannon Roth, male main character in bestselling author Kendall Ryan's Roommates series starter, The Room Mate . This had a familiar romance trope--falling-for-your-best-friend's-sibling--and yet I didn't find it boring or tiresome in any way. This has both heart and heat as well as lighthearted humor along with a bit of heart-tugging angst and it's headlined by a couple of main characters that I was totally smitten with from the moment Paige got a pretty good idea of just how much her best friend's younger brother Cannon had grown up from the nerdy boy who followed them around like a puppy when they were kids.
