Review: Strong Enough by Kelly Elliott (Meet Me in Montana #4)

Ah, it's bittersweet when a series that you've fallen in love with has to come to an end. I mean, I get that that's simply the nature of series, but I've grown accustomed AND attached to all things Meet Me in Montana, to the point that it's given my favorite Kelly Elliott series, Cowboys and Angels, a run for its money. In order to deal with this conundrum, I've gone ahead and simply accepted that I can have two favorites. So there.

The fourth and final Meet Me in Montana novel is Strong Enough, and it's a second-chance romance featuring Dirk Littlewood and Merit Eden. Dirk is the guy Merit dedicated her whole heart to, but then he went ahead and broke it anyway. The years that followed found Dirk living the life as a champion bull rider, but in the quieter moments, he knew all too well just how lonely that life was. Then Merit returns to their hometown of Hamilton, Montana after too many years of staying away. Could this be Dirk's chance to finally get it right, or could Merit be unwilling to risk getting her heart broken yet again?

My heart was put through the wringer by this book! Gah! Dirk and Merit's story gave me all the darn feels, not that I'm complaining. There were a few times where the temptation to jump into my tablet and smack Dirk upside the head as getting the better of me, but since that was never going to happen, I had to remind myself to be patient. Thankfully, Dirk (and Kelly Elliott!) did not disappoint me. Strong Enough was a story of love, redemption, forgiveness, and moving forward, and I, for one, loved it. This gets five stars.
