Review: Imagine with Me by Kristen Proby (With Me in Seattle #15)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Valentine PR. Imagine with Me is the fifteenth book in the With Me in Seattle series from Kristen Proby, and it's got a bit of an enemies-to-lovers feel to it. Shawn O'Callaghan and  Lexi Perry are both writers--he works on screenplays and adaptations while she's a bestselling author. When the film rights to Le xi's book are bought, Shawn is the one tasked to adapt the novel into a screenplay. From the get-go the two of them have their creative differences, and the increasing tension makes for a less than pleasant working environment. But there's a whole 'nother kind of tension that simmering between Shawn and Le xi, and when the two of them in even closer pro ximity in Shawn's home, there's no pretending how strong the connection between them is. By the time they write "the end" on the screenplay, will it also mark their end or could it be just the beginning of their forever? M

Review: Stones Unturned by Taylor Danae Colbert (Meade Lake #2)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Wildfire Marketing Solutions. After the absolutely amazing beginning to the Meade Lake series, my expectations were high for the follow-up. Back to Shore was such a beautifully-penned romance, and Derrick Thomas was a highly memorable supporting character, so I was excited to see what story Taylor Danae Colbert had for him. Well, that story unfolds in Stones Unturned , the second book in the Meade Lake series. When Derrick sets off for Georgia to find Kaylee Jennings, it was a mission based on hope and luck, and he certainly had both when his path crossed with hers unexpectedly. She's shocked when he tells her that he's been searching for her on behalf of May Dean, Kaylee's maternal grandmother--a grandmother she believed had passed away years ago. Instead, it seems Gran May has been living in Maryland--Meade Lake, to be exact. Derrick invites Kaylee to go with him to Meade Lake, and when she accepts, sh

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Wildfire Marketing Solutions. It's been a good, long while since I last read something written by Terri E. Laine, and thinking back, I can't possibly give you a good enough reason why that was so. Well, what matters now is that I'm getting all reacquainted with her writing, and it's by way of Kingdom Come , the first book in a new duet. This is supposed to be a spin-off of Laine's King Maker trilogy, but even though I've yet to read said trilogy, I was still able to enjoy this new book and not feel like I was missing anything integral to the characters or story. Elizabeth Monroe knows how it's like to be the nice girl--the one who lives in the straight and narrow and behaves appropriately. Well, she's been itching to take a trip on the naughty side, and it looks like she's found just the guy to take that trip with her. The hot guy named Striker is an irresistible combination of male m

Or maybe the problem is that the only person he’s
