Release Blitz: Afternoon Delight by Piper Rayne

Afternoon Delight (Charity Case #2) by Piper Rayne Release Date: May 31, 2018
About Afternoon Delight The perfect man for me is the one who broke my heart.
Once bitten. Twice shy. Yeah, I wish.
I’m on a mission to find myself a nice, solid, respectable man. The only problem is nice, solid, and respectable comes in a meh package and is B-O-R-I-N-G as hell.
It’s been established. I have one type. Bad Boy. I tried the other flavors, I really did. But there’s nothing like the allure of a man who takes what he wants without apology.
As if my love life isn’t dramatic enough, Dean Bennett walks into my life again thinking he’s going to win me back with his charm and charisma. He might come in a different package, but under that expensive suit he’s still the same cocky, arrogant, pompous prick who only cares about numero uno.
I’m not that naïve young girl anymore so I have to ignore the fact that the way he looks at me practically sets my panties on fire.
Everyone deserves a…

Review: Afternoon Delight by Piper Rayne (Charity Case #2)

“I never gave up on us. You were the one for me. Always have been and always will be.”
I read this second Charity Case novel--but the third book in the series--in one afternoon, and it was, indeed, a delight. Word play aside, Afternoon Delight was a romantic comedy with a fair bit of angst thrown into the mix. Chelsea Walsh was only eighteen but madly in love with twenty-one-year-old Dean Bennett. Many thought their getting married in Vegas may have been a spur-of-the-moment decision, and those same people may have been tempted to say "I told you so" when Chelsea walked away months later. Fast forward one divorce and five years later, and Chelsea is working for a great charity called RISE, and she's liking her life. The last person she expects to throw a curve ball her way is the charity's new pro bono tax attorney, who just happens to be her ex.

Release Blitz: Defied by Maria Luis

Defied (Blood #2) by Maria Luis Release Date: May 31, 2018
About Defied I am both a sinner and a saint, but I bleed vengeance.
For years, I’ve lived in the grey… until her.
Avery Washington didn’t belong in the shadows, but I dragged her into the darkness anyway.
One kiss, and I would stop at nothing to possess her.
One caress, and my need to destroy wavered.
Our attraction was poison and pleasure.
They say the devil recognizes his own, but I never saw Avery coming.
She's determined to light the matchsticks, and I can't resist going down in flames...

Review: Defied by Maria Luis (Blood #2)

Note: This ARC was provided by the author via Give Me Books Promotions in exchange for an honest review.

“Fuck,” he worked out after another bark of laughter, “you were made for me. I didn't laugh until you. Didn't see a glimmer of light withing all the darkness.” One big hand lifted from the steering wheel to run over the scruff along the bottom half of his jaw like he was embarrassed. “And now you've got me spilling my soul like I'm some sort of poet.”I couldn't deny it—cliché or not, my heart fluttered at the awkward way he continued to glance over at me before quickly fixing his attention on the road again. Smiling, I offered up, “I don't mind poetry. Are you any good with haikus?”
Gah! This duet! My expectations going in to Sworn realistic yet hopeful. Maria Luis was a new-to-me author a couple of weeks ago, and while I was aware of the great reviews she's received for her past work, you never know how a book is going to affect you, especially if you…

Cover Reveal: It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time by Kylie Scott

It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time by Kylie Scott Release Date: August 7, 2018

About It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time "Addictive like all Kylie Scott books, you'll swoon, laugh, ache, put your life on hold, and compulsively read until the wee hours of the night—only to reread the whole thing the next morning. Perfection!"  —Katy Evans, New York Times bestselling author
Returning home for her father’s wedding was never going to be easy for Adele. If being sent away at eighteen hadn’t been bad enough, the mess she left behind when she made a pass at her dad’s business partner sure was.
Fifteen years older than her, Pete had been her crush for as long as she could remember. But she’d misread the situation—confusing friendliness for undying love. Awkward. Add her father to the misunderstanding, and Pete was left with a broken nose and a business on the edge of ruin. The man had to be just as glad as everyone else when she left town.
Seven years later, things are differ…

Review: The Wright One by K.A. Linde (Wright Love #2)

Note: This ARC was provided by the author via InkSlinger PR in exchange for an honest review.
David was the one who had helped me all those months I was dead inside. All those times I needed a sitter for Jason, just to escape. All those times I heard ghosts in my house and voices that woke me in the night, expecting Maverick, his absence overwhelming me.David had been a beacon in the darkness.
Can I just say how much I love the fact that I was able to get my hands on an advanced reader copy of The Wright One? After all, that cliffhanger of an ending had me absolutely gobsmacked, and I desperately needed answers to every single pressing question that popped into my head after the accidental bombshell revelation involving David Calloway. What was revealed is something I'm going to have to keep under wraps, which basically means one thing: those of you who haven't read the first book will need to do so if you want to find out what it is. Sure, you could go ahead and jump into this…
