Declan by Laramie Briscoe Release Date: March 31, 2023 About Declan My sister’s best friend has always taken my breath away… Declan Tennyson At twenty-two most guys my age are living it up. Swiping left and right, trying to find what’s good for the night, instead of what’s good for life. Me? I have one of the best examples to follow. Trick and Hadley Tennyson are still in love twenty-plus-years on, and dad is looking to slow down. Which means I have a decision to make. Take the shop, or make my own way. I thought I had it all worked out, until a single-mom with brunette hair, blue eyes, and the cutest son ever needed my help on a freezing, snowy night. Claudia Wilson Declan Tennyson was always cute and annoying. My best friend’s little brother could always be counted on to be underfoot, or secretly listening to our girl talk. But the last three years? He grew into a man without me noticing. Being a single-mom is harder tha

Review: Declan by Laramie Briscoe

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Buoni Amici Press. My first ever read from Laramie Briscoe was the standalone Trick , and this was way back in 2017. That book became one of my favorite reads for that year, and remains my favorite novel of Briscoe's. When I learned that her next book would be about the son of the main characters from Trick , well, suffice it to say that I had a whole mix of emotions to deal with. I was intrigued and excited, but I was also rather nervous. After all, the memories I have of Trick  have been good ones, and it's the book I compare all of Briscoe's other books to. Maybe that isn't necessarily fair, but hey, c'est la vie! And now, Declan  is out in the proverbial wild, and while it does have somewhat of a familiar vein to it--single parent, tatted up hero--the male Tennyson of this current generation is a whole new force to be reckoned--and to fall in love--with. Twenty-two-year-old (or is he twenty-fo

Duke: Faking the Play (Boston Tomcats #3) by Kayley Loring & Connor Crais Release Date: March 30, 2023 About Duke: Faking the Play #4 Callum Duquette. Placekicker for the Boston Tomcats. Former underwear model. Nickname: Duke.   I thought the most annoying thing about being a single dad was that my friends were always trying to find me a date. Until a sassy British ray of sunshine bumps into me at a bookstore. One accidental butt grab, a viral photo, and a lot of misunderstandings later, I find myself in a fake relationship with a movie star.   Now I’ve got my friends off my back, but the cheeky Brit has complicated my life even more.   She calls me the Duke of Grumpville. I call her movies the end of civilization as we know it.   She calls my job “the wrong kind of football.” I call her the one thing on Earth that can make me lose focus and control. It’s getting harder to pretend I still want this to end after my team’s game in London.    I thought we were only f

Review: Duke: Faking the Play by Kayley Loring & Connor Crais (Boston Tomcats #3)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the authors. I'll be the first to admit that the fake relationship trope is not one of my go-tos in the romance department, but the Boston Tomcats series has proven to be a highly addictive read, and it's the writing duo of Kayley Loring and Connor Crais we're talking about here, so saying "no" wasn't even a consideration. Duke: Faking the Play  is the third and final novel in the series, and after the quarterback ( Decker: Changing the Play ) and the defensive end ( Dash: Rushing the Play ), we've got ourselves the team's kicker! Say what? Yup, Callum Duquette, aka Duke, is thirty and is considered one of the best placekickers in the league. But while he may know his way around kicking pigskin through a goalpost, he's struggling just a wee bit when it comes to knowing what to do with the unexpected ray of British sunshiny gorgeousness that is Millicent Edwina Sunshine (talk about living up to

Simply a business relationship that ends when the season is done or Jensen Hawke is pulled up for prime time. Arizona Monsoon rookie Jensen Hawke is laser focused—on proving he’s more than just hype, on breaking the league’s strikeout record, and on getting called up to the big leagues. Jensen doesn’t do relationships. He does
