Book Spotlight: Cutie and the Beast by M.E. Carter

Cutie and the Beast (Cipher Office #3) by M.E. Carter Date Released: April 14, 2020 Smartypants Romance
About Cutie and the Beast Living with her mother seemed like a good idea at the time. But Elliott Donovan’s living arrangements are not working for her anymore. Desperate to get back on her financial feet after a divorce and out from under her mother’s thumb, Elliott takes a job in the child care center at Weight Expectations, a local gym.
It has everything she needs – family friendly hours, more pay than she expected, and a super cute trainer who just happens to have part of his house for rent.

Abel DiSoto was living the good life until his wife walked out taking half of the family income with her. The blow to his ego was bad enough, but after a fire at the gym scattered Abel’s clients, and consequently his commissions, he’s stuck figuring out how to make ends meet, too. Renting out the master suite of his house to his new co-worker seems like an easy solution. They’re both mature adult…

Cutie and the Beast is the third book in the Cipher Office and it's the second one penned by M.E. Carter. Moving out of her mother's place is the best option for Elliott Donovan going forward after her divorce. She's snagged herself a job at the daycare of a local gym called Weight Expectations and she hopes this is the beginning of a better life that she can give her daughter, Ainsley. When one of the trainers at the gym puts up part of his house for rent, it's exactly what Elliott needs. The fact that Abel DiSoto also happens to really cute and a nice guy is a bonus. He's also divorced and has a daughter named Mabel who's the same age as Ainsley. Living under the same roof is a win-win for everyone concerned, especially since Elliott and Abel are going through the same change in marital status and single parenthood. But will close quarters lead to being too close for comfort for all conce…

Book Spotlight: A Song for Liars by Piper Lawson

A Love Song for Liars (Rivals #1) by Piper Lawson Date Released: April 28, 2020
About A Love Song for Liars Tyler Adams and I never should have met. I was rich, he was poor.  I was plain, he was beautiful.  I ached for the spotlight, he made his music in the dark. Yet he looked at me in a way my rock star father and rich, snobby classmates never did: like I mattered. I never saw it coming.  When Tyler moved in with us to work with my dad and attend Oakwood Prep, he seduced my enemies and claimed their crown. He betrayed my friendship and crushed my heart to become their rebel prince. They can keep him.  I’ll never forgive the boy I used to ache for.  But some nights...  ...He makes me want to.

A Love Song for Liars is Book 1 in the angsty, emotional Rivals trilogy. Fans of forbidden new adult, academy and rock star romance will love this new series.

Review: A Love Song for Liars by Piper Lawson (Rivals #1)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Wildfire Marketing Solutions.
I've been eagerly awaiting the release of A Love Song for Liars, the first in Piper Lawson's new series, Rivals, ever since I finished Forever Wicked, the fourth and final novel in the author's Wicked series, from which this new trilogy is spun off of. The free prequel, Love Notes, managed to whet my appetite even further, and goodness me, but did this author surpass my hopes and expectations for Annie Jamieson and Tyler Adams's first full-length novel.

There was once a time when Annie Jamieson looked at Tyler Adams and saw the boy who was her closest friend, the one who embraced the girl that she was, and whose music called to her soul. He would become her father's protégé and now, he lives in their family home and goes to the same school that she attends. One act of betrayal breaks Annie's trust as well as her heart. She may can't forgive him, but she also can…

Review: Undeniably Perfect (Perfectly Imperfect Love #1)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Wildfire Marketing Solutions.
This book came along on a day where life was more stressful than the norm, and it was exactly what I needed. I'd read S.E. Rose's Chronicles of a Hot Mess and Chronicles of a Rockin' Mess late last year and enjoyed my introduction to her writing, so when the opportunity to read the first in a brand-new series came along, I hopped right to it. Undeniably Perfect is book one in Rose's Perfectly Imperfect Love series, and readers meet a twenty-seven-year-old baseball player named Kent Moore and a twenty-four-year-old photographer named Tabitha Crane. They're both good at what they do, but as talented as these two may be, they're struggling at the moment. When they met during a photo shoot, Kent sees an opportunity to help out Tabby and seizes upon it, simply because he's that sort of guy--an honest-to-goodness nice guy. They're lives becomes entangled and there…

Book Spotlight: The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée by Annika Martin

The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée (Billionaires of Manhattan #4) by Annika Martin Date Released: April 28, 2020
About The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée I’m no Prince Charming, and the last thing I want is a Cinderella.

My instructions were simple: scour the city for a fake fiancée who’s not my type at all. Have her on my jet Monday morning, dressed appropriately for a yacht vacation.

I need a woman believable enough to convince a certain client that I’ve changed my playboy ways…yet nothing like the supermodels and socialites I usually have on my arm.

Somebody too annoying to tempt me—no emotional entanglements, thank you very much. This is business only.

If she’s unfazed by my looks and wealth, all the better.

Should be easy. Right?

Apparently not, because my people go and hire Tabitha. My hairdresser.

What were they thinking? Yes, I said annoying, but I didn’t mean her, the most frustrating woman in the world.

Tabitha is sunshiny. She has a pet hamster. She loves Hello Kitty, and she ge…
