Review: Operation Bailey Babies by Piper Rayne (The Baileys #6.5)

When the writing duo of Piper Rayne offered up their initial novella after the first three full-length novels in their highly popular—and my personal favorite—Baileys series, I expected it to be more like an extended epilogue. Welp, Operation Bailey Wedding turned out to be more than that, serving as a way to not only catch up with the first three couples but also enough of a sneak peek at the rest of the siblings and what may await readers as the series moves forward. Now, the winsome twosome of Piper and Rayne have released Operation Bailey Babies, which comes after the second batch of three full-length novels!

The title pretty much clues you in on what this novella is about. The ever-expanding Bailey clan—and the rest of their hometown of Starlight Falls, Alaska, for that matter—are prepping for the arrival of three new members to the family. Only one of them will actually carry the last name of Bailey, but while the last names are a given, there appears to be a bit more of a struggle when it comes to what their first and slash or second name will be. Each baby’s due date is only a week or so apart, but is it really a wonder if the good people of Starlight Falls place a bet on who will give birth first? Bring on those beautiful Bailey babies!

Please allow me to get this out of the way first: I WAS RIGHT!!! Yep, had I bet actual money on who would give birth first, I would have won. Okay, now that I’ve made that announcement, let me tell you how much I adored this book! It was fun seeing how the six or so parents-to-be (yeah, I won’t say who nor will I explain what I meant) had their own ways of preparing for their respective births and how said impending arrivals were affecting their relationships. Operation Bailey Babies was fun and heartwarming. I loved visiting with the Baileys who are living their happily-ever-afters and those waiting in the wings. Five stars! ♥
