Book Spotlight: Whole Lotta Frogs by Samatha Harris

Whole Lotta Frogs by Samatha Harris Date Released: June 19, 2018 About Whole Lotta Frogs My name is Lennox Brooks and I’ll admit, I’ve made a lot of mistakes. I don’t take the big risks, I cover my insecurities with snark, I’ve shown my crazy a few more times then I would’ve liked, and I’ve been trying, and failing at love pretty much since I first grew tits.  Weirdos, Mama’s boys, the over-coiffed, and underwhelming, I’ve been out with them all, just read my blog. I’ve got horror stories that would curl your toes and singe your nose hairs, but none of them compare to the toad who started it all, Ellis Walker.  He was the boy next door, the charming, infuriatingly gorgeous one who broke my heart and disappeared without a trace. Now he’s back and determined to throw my life into chaos, dredging up painful memories just when things were getting good.  But the thing is there are always two sides to every story. I’ve spent the better part of my life hating him

Review: Whole Lotta Frogs by Samatha Harris

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Lip Services PR. Samatha Harris is a new-to-me author and  Whole Lotta Frogs is the romantic comedy standalone which introduces me to her writing. This book has an enemies-to-lovers slash second chance romance feel to it, with a woman who knows what it's like to have to go through one proverbial frog after another when it comes to dating. Lennox Brooks isn't even looking for a prince; she just wants a man worthy of her. Maybe she's just a magnet for the frog variety. After all, the first boy she loved turned out to be the first one to ever break her heart. Ellis Walker was, quite literally, the boy next door. They were friends who ended up hanging out with two different social circles in high school. He went from buddy to tormentor, but it was when he stood her up for prom that cemented him in the annals of history as King Toad. Now he's back, and he seems to be EVERYWHERE. He seems to think that

Spark (North Star #1) by Posy Roberts Date Re-Released: June 23, 2018 About Spark A love story with a seventeen-year intermission. Hugo Thorson fell in love when he was sixteen. He’s maybe been in love since, but probably not. He’s been too busy directing plays to devote much time to men who can’t accept all of him. No one ever made him feel like his first love did. Kevin Magnus married a woman and has two children, but the marriage wasn’t happy. In the shadow of divorce, he’s striving to be a better father, but he’s still a work in progress. When Hugo and Kevin bump into each other at the lake, memories of their last kiss incite a new first kiss. Visions of the life they always wanted are vivid, but so much stands in the way of their dreams. Hugo is out and proud but no one knows Kevin’s bisexual. If Kevin comes out, he risks losing custody of his kids. If he doesn’t walk hand in hand with Hugo, he risks losing the love of his life. The curtain may never

Review: Spark by Posy Roberts (North Star #1)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Signal Boost Promotions. Spark is the first book in Posy Roberts's North Star trilogy, with each book being re-released after having been originally released by Dreamspinner Press a few years back. Funnily, I didn't realize that I had already read the books a couple of years ago until after I started reading an advanced reader copy (ARC) of book one. That being said, I continued reading, and I'm glad that I did because it was great being able to re-experience the first part of Hugo Thorson and Kevin Magnus's love story. Because it has been about two years since I read the trilogy, I can't be a hundred percent positive what, if any, changes may have been made. What matters is that it's the same story. When he was only sixteen, Hugo Thorson had fallen totally and absolutely in love with Kevin Magnus and Kevin loved him just as much. But life and circumstances beyond their control led them

Review: Ride Me by Rebecca Brooke (Jaded Ivory #2)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Enticing Journey Book Promotions. I was looking forward to reading Ride Me , the second novel in Rebecca Brooke's Jaded Ivory series, since I first read the blurb for it. I also make no secret of the fact that I'm an M/M romance fangirl, and when an author who's known for M/F romance tries their hand at M/M, I get really curious. This second book is the story of twenty-six-year-old Sawyer Alason, drummer for the up and coming rock band Jaded Ivory, who has an unexpected reunion with his best friend. It's been seven years since Reagan Setton last saw the guy who had been his best friend since they were children. Sawyer had disappeared without a word after they had graduated from high school, and while Reagan would love to catch up on everything they've missed over the years, what he wants more is an explanation. But how the hell is Sawyer supposed to tell Reagan that the reason he left was be
