Series Spotlight: The Something More Boxed Set by Danielle Pearl

The Something More Boxed Set Normal ReCAP Okay by Danielle Pearl Date Released: April 18, 2016 About the Something More series Normal (book one) It's the kind of situation most people would dread. Starting at a new high school, in the middle of my senior year, in a new town, in a new state. I know no one. No one knows me. That's what I'm counting on.  A year ago, Aurora "Rory" Pine was just a normal teenage girl—just as sweet and naive as the fairy tale princess she was named after.  But this isn't a year ago.  Rory is broken, and suffering from a new debilitating anxiety disorder, wrought with precarious triggers, she moves across the country to escape the source of her troubles. Her plan is anonymity, but that's easier said than achieved for the new girl having a panic episode outside of calculus. The worst part? There's a witness—and a gorgeous one at that.  Sam is a walking trigger for Rory. Incredibly handsom

His End Game (MMG #1) by RB Hilliard Re-Release Date: November 30, 2016 About His End Game Ellie Davis has finally begun to mend the pieces of her shattered heart. With a new job slinging drinks behind the bar at Charlotte’s latest hot spot and a crush on her deliciously sexy bar manager things are finally starting to look up.  New job plus new man equals the perfect anecdote to help Ellie forget all about bad boy Max McLellan…or so she thinks. This is Ellie’s journey and it isn’t always pretty.  It isn’t always neat. It isn’t always happy. But it’s hers. Read my 4.5-starred review of His End Game . Add His End Game on Goodreads . Purchase Links Amazon US | Amazon UK | Amazon CA | Amazon AU An Excerpt from His End Game “If I wrote a song for you, this would be it. Max held out his hand. Dance with me?” I wanted to cry. I didn’t want him to go. I wanted forever. He was sunshine and moonlight, san

Review: His End Game by RB Hilliard (MMG #1)

Note: This ARC was provided by the author via Enticing Journey Book Promotions in exchange for an honest review. His End Game is a romance that starts off as a young adult (YA) story and ends as a new adult (NA) one. Written by RB Hilliard, this MMG series starter was originally released in early 2014 but is being re-released. Since I never got to read the book when it first came out, I can't compare that edition and this new one, so I wouldn't know if any changes were made, whether in terms of deletions or additions. My review is just for the 2016 re-released edition. The first time Ellison Davis saw Max McLellan, she was a freshman in high school and he was a year ahead. When they finally got together a couple of years later, Ellie knew Max was it for her and she believed the feeling was mutual. He made her promises he swore he had never made any other girl and they planned to make their dreams come true. They were going to be together and Ellie thought it was fo

Book Spotlight: Frostbitten by Charlotte Stein

Frostbitten by Charlotte Stein Date Released: November 28, 2016 Riptide Publishing About Frostbitten Shy nurse Cora both dreads and lives for the moments she sees Zeke, an orderly at the hospital where she works. Zeke is too handsome, too compelling, too much, and seems totally unaware of Cora. But before she can bring herself to his attention, an explosion rips through the hospital Christmas party. Zeke has noticed Cora—in fact, he’s so irresistibly drawn to her that he saves her from the explosion by turning her into a vampire, much to the jealousy and resentment of his partner, Merrick. Zeke hates being a vampire, and now that she’ll live, doesn’t want Cora to suffer his fate. If they can both resist the overwhelming instinct to bond, joining their bodies as Cora draws her maker’s blood, she might be able to return to her normal human life. As Merrick uses every erotic trick to keep Zeke distracted from the blood passion, Cora becomes more and more drawn to bo

Review: Frostbitten by Charlotte Stein

Note: This ARC was provided by Riptide Publishing in exchange for an honest review. Frostbitten is a short story written by Charlotte Stein and it also happens to be my first read from the author. I confess, I had certain expectations when it came to this book, expectations based on the three other stories that were part of last year's Riptide Publishing Holiday Charity Bundle and the first one I read for this year. Sadly, this fell really short, and I'm not just talking about the length of it. I swear, I really, really, REALLY wanted to like this story, but it was confusing. It felt all over the place while still coming off as a whole lot of nothing going on. One was okay, the other interesting, and the third-- one the other two both wanted--was a wallflower turned wannabe. There was a human nurse named Cora who was shy and timid and had a mad crush on an orderly named Zeke. A gas mainline in the hospital they both work at explodes during the Christmas party and Z
