The New Guy (Hockey Guys #1) by Sarina Bowen Release Date: February 28, 2023 About The New Guy A new male / male hockey romance from 24-time USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen! My name is Hudson Newgate, but my teammates call me New Guy. That was my nickname in Chicago, too. And Vancouver. That’s what happens when you keep getting traded. Brooklyn is my last chance, especially after my poor performance last season. But I can make this work. The new guy knows to keep his head down and shoot the puck. The new guy puts the game first. What he doesn’t do is hook up with the other new guy—a hot athletic trainer who lives in my building. Gavin needs this job with my team. He’s a single dad with responsibilities. We can’t be a couple. My arrogant agent—who’s also my father—will lose his mind if I’m dating a dude. And my team needs me to score goals, not whip up a media circus. Too bad Gavin and I are terrible at resisting each other… Read my five-plus-starred review

Audio Review: The New Guy by Sarina Bowen, narrated by Teddy Hamilton & J.F. Harding (Hockey Guys #1)

Note: An advance listener copy (ALC) was provided by the author. "I want another chance with you."   He stops pacing and throws his arms out to the sides. "And I want it too, you dickhead!"   "I like dickheads," I remind him. "That's not an insult." This audiobook should have come with some sort of warning label, but since it didn't, allow me to share a pearl of wisdom from moi to you: Do NOT listen to this while driving. The combination of Sarina Bowen's writing, Teddy Hamilton and J.F. Harding's narration, AND my own anticipation over this being a new M/M hockey romance AND a series starter from Bowen since Him  may have had me super duper anxious and excited. And well, let's just say that all of that had me distracted--enough that I had to stop listening to the audiobook lest I find myself either lost or preoccupied, and neither of those are recommended while operating a motor vehicle. Let's put it this way, The New Guy

At First Meet (Montgomery Ink Legacy #2) by Carrie Ann Ryan Release Date: February 27, 2023 About At First Meet New York Times bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan continues the Montgomery Ink Legacy series with an emotional, friends-to-lovers romance where second chances begin with a promise. I fell in love with the wrong man and learned the hard way to ask for help. I don’t plan on falling again and have no intention of trying. But when I get invited to a high-powered CEO retreat, I know I can’t say no. And I can’t go alone. When my frenemy, Nick, invites himself as my escort, I should walk away. But there’s no stopping the connection we’ve both ignored for far too long. Only Nick’s past is far darker than he lets the world know, and the shell he encased himself in is stronger than my own. And when the pain from my past comes back with a force, I’m afraid that walking away will be the only choice—even if it breaks us both. Read my five-starred review of At First Meet .

Review: At First Meet by Carrie Ann Ryan (Montgomery Ink Legacy #2)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Give Me Books Promotions. At First Meet is the second book in the Montgomery Ink Legacy  series from Carrie Ann Ryan, and it's a frenemies-to-lovers romance featuring Lake Montgomery and Nick Gatlin, co-owners of a tattoo studio in Colorado along with her cousins. Bickering is almost second nature to them, but Nick stepping in to help her during a low point in her life isn't all that surprising either--he's just that kind of guy. The thing is, Lake isn't someone who asks for--or accepts--help easily. But when she's invited for what's considered a prestigious retreat for CEOs, going alone isn't even a consideration. Then Nick offers to be her plus-one for the weekend-long event. Sharing one room and spending time together brings them even closer, but will the ghosts of their respective pasts haunt them forever? Lake and Nick clearly had sparks in the Montgomery Ink Legacy  series starter, B

Special Agent Max Prince is worried. The longer this case goes on, the farther down the rabbit hole, his partner and lover, Leo, seems to fall. To make matters worse, back home in Los Angeles, detectives Cassidy Ryan and Mike Williams have turned up a second graveyard filled wi

Say You Love Me Again by Carrie Aarons Release Date: February 24, 2023 About Say You Love Me Again Who wouldn’t jump at the chance to spend a few months on a concert tour traveling the country? Did I mention that the famous musician headlining it is the ex-husband who walked out on you? When I met Levi Truin, we were young, rich, famous, and beautiful. Nothing could go wrong, we had the world at our fingertips. Except millions of dollars, marriage and a baby all before twenty two isn’t all fun and games. And when my indiscretion caused it to come crashing down, we were just another Hollywood couple on the cutting room floor. Seven years later, Levi and I are the poster-children for exemplary co-parenting. Attending red carpet events in support of each other, Sunday night dinners for the sake of our daughter, and her private school functions where we save seats and make polite conversation. The articles paint us in the healthiest of lights, because none of them know the truth. So

Review: Say You Love Me Again by Carrie Aarons

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author. "Remember, you  left me , Levi. I was the one who fucked up, but you were the one who walked out. I've been right here, for years, on the sidelines of my life. And I'm done with it. It's been days, a goddamn week, since you admitted you still love me, and you're the one who avoided talking about it. It's always been hot and cold with you, and I'm taking back my own power." Carrie Aarons's newest standalone contemporary romance is, hands down, one of my all-time favorites that she's ever written. That's saying something considering I've read every single book she's ever published. There's just something about  Say You Love Me Again . This is a second-chance romance between a divorced couple, both well-known celebrities who once felt like they had everything that they could ever dream of, only for their lives to fall apart at a point when they were expected to be a

Blanket of Stars (Camp Bexley #4) by K.K.
