Review: Stay by Willow Aster (Landmark Mountain #5)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author. It seems that Willow Aster saved the best for last because Sutton Landmark and Felicity Shaw's story is my absolute favorite in the Landmark Mountain  series. Stay  is the fifth and final novel, and it's got some of my favorite romance tropes: single parent, age gap, forbidden, and small town. Sutton Landmark is thirty-five, making him the eldest among his siblings, a well-respected judge, and father to eight-year-old Owen. With life getting busier, Sutton knows it's time for him to hire a nanny, especially because he doesn't want to keep imposing on his grandmother and siblings and his siblings' respective partners. Felicity is only twenty-two and a recent pre-law graduate who's still figuring out what it is she wants to do with the rest of her life--and it doesn't involve going to law school--but she's the best candidate to be Owen's nanny, even if it means Sutton is going to have to

Release Blast: Never Say Never by Jennifer Sucevic

Never Say Never (Western Wildcats #4) by Jennifer Sucevic Release Date: April 12, 2024 About Never Say Never Colby McNichols, otherwise known as the baby-faced assassin, is the left wing for the Western Wildcats hockey team. All he has to do is sign his name on the dotted line and he’ll play for the pros after his senior season. What I’ve heard from the girls on campus, who aren’t shy about spilling the tea, is that he’s totally earned his reputation. And then some. It’s just one of the reasons I choose to steer clear. Trust me when I say that my life is complicated enough without getting tangled up with a player. For reasons I can’t fathom, Colby has decided to insert himself in my life. Everywhere I go, there he is. Which makes holding him at a distance nearly impossible. He might be smoking hot but there’s zero point in starting something with this guy. Especially since I can’t be honest about who I am. Unfortunately, a weekend spent in Vegas changes everything. Tu

Review: Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws (Mountain Men Matchmaker #1)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author. Back in June of 2022, I dared to hope that Amy Daws would create a spin-off series for Max Fletcher's brothers. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who wished for those books, and I guess having multiple readers put that out into the universe worked because the three remaining single Fletcher men, who all live on Fletcher Mountain, have their own series indeed! Nine Month Contract  is book one in the Mountain Men Matchmaker spin-off series and features the second oldest Fletcher brother, thirty-eight-year-old Wyatt--Max ( Last on the List , book five in the Wait with Me  series) is the oldest, for those who aren't familiar with these siblings. Wyatt is in search of a surrogate, and well, his two younger brothers, Calder and Luke, decide to help him. Actually, it's their niece, Everly, who's the brains of the whole matchmaking operation, and she thinks she's found the perfect woman for her grumpy u

Release Blitz: Until It Was Love by Pippa Grant

Until It Was Love by Pippa Grant Release Date: April 11, 2024 About Until It Was Love There are a million reasons why I shouldn’t date Fletcher Huxley. He’s a growly-faced, stubborn-streaked, international rugby legend trying to revive his flailing career in the US after being canned by his team overseas. While he might have the good kind of thunder thighs, intriguing tattoos, and a booty of steel, he also holds the top position on my very short nemesis list thanks to what happened the first time we met. Plus, his mustache is as terrible as the reason he’s picked me to be the woman he wants to date. But he has one big checkmark in the why this date is a good idea column: he’s my brother’s new teammate. They already hate each other. And my brother has made an unfortunate habit of interfering with my love life recently. So a revenge date with Fletcher to make my brother mad? While letting Fletcher think this date is merely for the good of the team? Yep. I’m in.

Forbidden in the Falls (Devon Falls #2) by J.E. Birk Release Date: April 11, 2024 About Forbidden in the Falls He’s my boss. He never smiles. I have a totally off-limits crush on him. Oh, and I just moved into his house. All I’ve ever wanted is to escape the tiny town and trailer park that never accepted me. I came to Devon Falls to start over, and things here were starting to look up—until I accidentally ended up living in a drug dealer's barn and became a town pariah all over again. And on top of all that, I’m now homeless for a second time. Is there a hotter mess than me on the planet? Things get really wonky when my boss rescues me from my car and takes me home with him. I’ve been crushing hard on Dr. Sam Evers since the day we met, and moving in with him isn’t making that crush go away. He may be one of the growliest people in town, but Dr. Evers takes care of me and protects me in a way no one ever has. Still, I know better than to think that will last once he realizes
