Review: Shift by Ginger Scott (Fuel #1)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Wordsmith Publicity. I'll pronounce my love for this boy in a court of law, in the face of death, at the line of fire. I'll love him for always because I know, whether he can say it yet or not, he loves me back. He loves me, and I won't let go. I may as well just hand Ginger Scott my heart already since I have a sneaking suspicion by the time the Fuel trilogy has concluded, I'll have nothing left of it. Shift is the novel that introduces readers to seventeen-year-old Dustin Bridges and sixteen-year-old Hannah Judge. The former's home life is horrendous, what with having parents dealing with addiction and handing out neglect and abuse; it's with the latter's family that Dustin finds solace and it's in racing that he finds a respite from everything he wants to get away from. Tommy Judge is his best friend, and Tommy's younger sister is the girl Dustin has been quietly falling in lov

C*ck Blocked (Blockers #1) by K.C. Kassidy Date Released: June 24, 2021 About C*ck Blocked It’s not easy being someone you’re not.  Grayson Darling is suddenly the new Hollywood “it” guy and needs a break from stardom. As an American actor turned heartthrob, Gray rose to superstar status as a romantic lead on a popular streaming service – but it’s getting harder to hide who he really is.  To his legions of female fans, he’s a handsome, single and straight man.  But it’s all a made-for-TV lie.  Needing a holiday during the show’s summer hiatus, Gray books a stay at a rural Ireland B&B, where he hopes the scenery and solitude will spark creativity to finish his first screenplay. And allow him time to figure out who and what he wants to be to the world.  Gruff and steady Niall O’Reardon wonders if this is all life has to offer him now that he’s retired from the Gaelic football league and has taken over his family farm in Boyle, Ireland, where hard work is simply a fac

Review: C*ck Blocked by K.C. Kassidy (Blockers #1)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Wordsmith Publicity. C*ck Blocked is the first book in the Blockers series from K.C. Kassidy, which is Sierra Hill's pen name for books dedicated to LGBTQ romance. I've read some of Hill's work in the past, one of them being Change of Course , the third book in her Change of Hearts series and an M/M romance. While that didn't click with me the way I hoped the first two in the series did, I was still curious enough to check out the author's first foray using the new pen name and with a series starter whose blurb certainly had me paying attention. Grayson Darling appreciates his lot in life, but while he doesn't take his success as an actor for granted, he relishes the time he's able to get and simply be who he really is. You see, as much as he's seen as a ladies' man, Gray isn't as straight as he's perceived to be. Taking time off is easier said than done, of course, but st

Release Blast: My Lucky #13 by Piper Rayne

My Lucky #13 (Hockey Hotties #1) by Piper Rayne Release Date: June 29, 2021 About My Lucky #13 Lucky. The one adjective used to describe my entire hockey career. I prefer to call it hard work, at least I did until my game went to complete crap. I haven’t scored in eight games and my team owner is talking about trading me. I’ve never believed in superstitions. Never needed one. I suppose I was “lucky” in that way. But now the best way to refer to me is desperate. I’d wear the same socks for an entire year just to be the high-scoring center I used to be. Imagine my surprise when after spending New Year’s Eve with a woman, I score a hat trick in the next game—that’s three goals in one game for you non-hockey lovers. Now, I have to track her down and bribe her to do it again before every game. Get your mind out of the gutter, I’m not talking about it. I find her and when I get to know her better, I end up spending more time thinking about her than my game, but she’s made it

Review: My Lucky #13 by Piper Rayne (Hockey Hotties #1)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the authors via Wildfire Marketing Solutions. One of my favorite writing duos has a new series, and it's a sports romance to boot! Piper Rayne kicked things off with a free prequel novella, Countdown to a Kiss , which I highly recommend readers check out prior to diving into this new full-length novel, My Lucky #13 , because it lays down the groundwork for the series as a whole and the series starter in particular. All that being said, everything gets off to a strong start, and I'm definitely quite excited to seeing where Piper and Rayne take the series with books two and three. My Lucky #13 features non-superstitious professional hockey player whose game is in a slump, that is until he has a life-changing encounter on New Year's Eve with a woman he has no business wanting. Aiden Drake may be the center for and team captain of the Florida Fury, but he knows all too well that a downward slump for any player is dangerous ter
