Review: Knocked Up by Various Authors

Knocked Up was just released, and I'm thrilled that I pre-ordered this multi-authored anthology, with bonus points over the fact that all proceeds go to charity, specifically the Linus Project. Because I only started reading the book as soon as it landed in my Kindle Fire yesterday, you'd think that there was no way I'd be able to make a dent. Welp, I think reading fifteen out of the sixteen stories is a sizable enough dent. Heck, I surprised myself! But that's what happens when you've got well-written quick reads--some endearing, others entertaining--and a whole lot of rewarding free time on yours hands.

My top favorite stories were Between the Lines by Micalea Smeltzer, which is a rivals-to-lovers romance, and Snapshot by Marley Valentine, which had a fated romance feel to it, and those both get five stars. Tied for second place, with each one getting 4.5 stars, are Truth and Lies by J.D. Hollyfield, My Favorite Mistake by Lauren Runow, Meant to Be by Jenika Snow, and Miss B by K Webster. The following get four stars each: Finding Prince Charming by Nikki Ash, Quarterback Keeper by Lacey Black, Spark by Nicole Blanchard, My Ruin by Jacob Chance, Calm the Storm by Kelsey Clayton, And One by Rebecca Jenshak, Hideaway by Coralee June, Every Other Memory by Kaylee Ryan, and Doctor Daddy by Misty Walker. Every single one of these fifteen stories left me smiling and none left me wanting, which is always a good thing. I'm handing Knocked Up an average of four stars.

Date Read: 15 June 2021
