Review: Restored by Joanna Chambers (Enlightenment #5)

Kit had once despaired at how much he loved Henry--the young god who looked certain to crush his heart.   Who had indeed done so.   But this Henry was a man that Kit could trust with heart. This Henry was a man who had already set his own bruised heart on a sivler tray and handed it to Kit, without knowing what damage Kit might do it. Trusting that Kit would not hurt him, but willing to be hurt if it came to that. Okay, confession time: When I found out that Joanna Chambers had a FIFTH book to add to one of my all-time favorite M/M romance series, I may have squealed loudly in delight and danced like a happy fool. I was alone, so no worries on embarrassing myself. The Enlightenment series' first four novels were not only fantastic reads, but the first through which are available on audio rank among some of my favorite listens. So yes, I was totally looking forward to reading whatever Ch

Review: The Happy List by Briar Prescott (Better with You #1)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Gay Romance Reviews ARC Team. Where do I begin with my adoration for Briar Prescott's writing? I've read each of the three books this author has published so far, and I've loved every single one. These are stories that stand alone, although this newest one happens to be a series starter (yay!), and while each one shares a different tale, what's noticably consistent is Prescott's ability to pen beautiful and touching romances that have heart and heat and a dash of humor alongside a pinch of angst. Her latest book, The Happy List , had a lighter feel compared to her first two novels, and dare I say that if the rest of the Better with You series is as enticing as this all-new series starter, then I have really got a whole lot to look forward to. Grayson and Kai have been the best of friends for years, and even with Kai spending the last decade traveling, their close bond remains. When Kai makes the deci

Review: Stroll into Love by Sophie E. Russell (Mulligan in Love #1)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Gay Romance Reviews ARC Team. Twenty-twenty has been a rather, erm, shitatistic year, to put it mildly. But if there's one thing that this year has reminded me, it's to pay attention to the good and not to solely focus on the bad, because yes, there has been some good. One just happens to be truly notable debut authors that have captured my attention with their stories. On that list is Sophie E. Russell, and her first novel, Stroll into Love , also opens her first series, Mulligan in Love . This debut and series starter impressed me with the author's beautiful and lyrical storytelling and memorable cast who called the small town of Mulligan, Massachusetts home, particularly the lovely employees and patrons of Cafe Lane and The Fuzzy Peach. When thirty-two-year-old Sebastien Bouchard moves from Boston to Mulligan, he left behind a husband, the home they shared, and his career as a private lawyer. While two of

Book Spotlight: Man in Charge by Laurelin Paige

Image
Man in Charge (Man in Charge #1) by Laurelin Paige Date Released: October 27, 2020 About Man in Charge The Sebastians own this city. Hell, they own the whole world. All I want is one little piece of it, a corner that I can call my own. So when my boss runs away to “find herself”, I seize the opportunity and dive head first into the Sebastian’s glamorous universe. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted—fast paced and high stakes—and, even though I don’t fit in, I’m excellent at faking it. Until I come face to face with the man in charge, Scott Sebastian, the arrogant, playboy heir with the mind of a devil and the body of a god and a mouth I can’t stop thinking about. He’s infuriating. He’s a distraction. He’s the man who wants me in his bed as much as I want to be there. And, if I get too close, he’ll be the one person who could expose me for what I really am—a fraud.  Read my four-starred review of Man in Charge . Add Man in Charge on Goodreads . Purchase Link
