Review: Rogue Royalty by Meghan March (Savage #3)

Note: This ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I should have known from the first night when I couldn't walk out of that room, even though he was a complete stranger, that this—uswould change my entire life.

Gah! Take my heart already, why don't you, Meghan March?! This conclusion to the Savage trilogy from this bestselling and one of my favorite go-to authors flayed me open, leaving me to bleed out by the time a twist I never saw coming knocked me to the ground in shock. Temperance Ransom and Kane Savage's love story may have begun with an addictive kind of lust, but these two were destined for more than a raunchy kind of sex only affair. These two were meant for something absolutely life-changing, but before they get to their happily-ever-after (and you better believe these two deserve one hell of a joyous one!), they weren't going to have to merely jump through hoops and over hurdles--they needed to blast through everything coming for them both.

Rogue Royalty picks up where Iron Princess left off, and while I already had my suspicions as to how the twist in the second book was going to play out here in the third one, March made sure to keep her fans and readers on their toes with this series ender. No spoilers, but what I can tell you is just when you think you've got everything figured out, you realize that, well, you don't. I love how Temperance truly came into her own here, an evolution that readers see progressing from the first book, Savage Prince, onwards. She seemed to be stuck in neutral in the series starter, doing well enough for herself, but not truly pursuing her dreams or going after what she really wanted in life. She always had this spark; over three books, she becomes fiery Tempe Ransom.

Then there's Kane, who started off as such a mystery and the more layers were pulled back, the more irresistible he became. He was far more than the man he presented himself to be in the first two books, and I had no doubts just how much he loved Tempe and would do absolutely anything for her. Of course, Kane brings with him a fair amount of action and suspense, but that doesn't mean that Tempe is some shy violet who needs to be rescued time and time again. I loved these two together, and this Savage trilogy is further proof of Meghan March's Anti-Heroes collection being in a class all its own. Please note that the books do need to be read in order, and since all three are now here, it's time to book binge! Five-plus stars for Rogue Royalty. ♥
