Review: Michigan for the Winter by Dr. Rebecca Sharp (Country Love #6)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Wildfire Marketing Solutions.

Would it be too much that Rebecca Sharp never, ever ends this series? Please? Do I have to rub a genie...in a lantern (yeah, I wasn't done yet, you dirty-minded peeps!) to get this to happen? There's just something about the Country Love series that resonates with me. I love the lighthearted feel with just a hint of angst to them, and that's saying something considering I do love me my angst. The sixth book is Michigan for the Winter, a witty romance about a man taking a break from everything in his life, especially women, and the woman who turns his life upside down--or maybe, just maybe, turns it right side up.

His former business partner and best friend may have headed for Florida to celebrate the sale of their business for billions, but Ryan Finan decided Michigan was his preferred destination. It was winter and he wanted nothing more than to embrace the isolation of being in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, or at least as close to nowhere as he could get. So, when his landlord turns out to be a beautiful young woman who made a lasting impression on him, Ryan knows that he needs to keep his distance from Winna Madden.

This is one of those books that brings a smile to your lips, and it does, indeed, live up to its promise to be heartwarming. I adored both Ryan and Winna, and I seriously wanted to give both Chewie (Winna's husky) and Kurt (Winna's honorary uncle) hugs because of how much they loved our winsome heroine. Winna truly was like this burst of sunshine who thawed out the rather cold and distant Ryan, although he did have his reasons for being the way he was. Rebecca Sharp has once again delivered a lovely romance about finding love and home even in frigid temperatures! Five stars for Michigan for the Winter.
