Review: A Love Song for Always by Piper Lawson (Rivals #4)

This book! Gah! It made me cry, damn it! But I'll get to that later. Let me give you a few basic details about A Love Song for Always. This is the fourth book in Piper Lawson's Rivals series, and yes, I'm seriously recommending that you read the first three books--A Love Song for Liars, A Love Song for Rebels, and A Love Song for Dreamers--before reading this series ender. You'll have a better appreciation for everything that the main characters, Annie Jameson and Tyler Adams, had to go through to get to this point--"this" being days from finally exchanging vows surrounded by those who mean most to them. But it looks like other responsibilities and new opportunities may get in their way first...

This fourth and final book was the perfect way to close out Annie and Tyler's love story! There was no question how much these two loved each other, but even the most committed of couples still have challenges in their relationship. Seeing how much they've matured and grown over the span of four books was heartwarming and endeared them to me even more than I thought possible. There was one particular point in the story that I found myself a few tears, but it wasn't a moment between Annie and Tyler--it had to do with Annie and her dad, Jax. Those two have come so far as well, and by the time I was done reading, I was so tempted to start from the very beginning--the Wicked books--again and then four of the Rivals books. Le sigh. I'm giving five stars to A Love Song for Always.

Review: The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan (Roommates #1)

I do believe I've found myself a new book boyfriend to drool, erm, swoon over in Cannon Roth, male main character in bestselling author Kendall Ryan's Roommates series starter, The Room Mate . This had a familiar romance trope--falling-for-your-best-friend's-sibling--and yet I didn't find it boring or tiresome in any way.
