Review: O Holy Night by Pam Godwin (as part of the Meet Me Under the Mistletoe anthology)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.

O Holy Night is a short story in the multi-author Meet Me Under the Mistletoe anthology published by Dangerous Press, and Pam Godwin has proven yet again that her writing can pack a punch even with just a handful of pages. Short, steamy, sweet (in ways only Magnus can be), and suspenseful, this story is headlined by Magnus and Tinsley Falke from Godwin's Lessons in Sin. Someone's just tried to end Tinsley's life, and Magnus will not take the threat sitting down. The question is, who's behind the threat and why? Could it be the Morellis, the number one enemy of Tinsley's family, the Constantines? What if it's someone no one saw coming?

Ah, Tinsley and Magnus remain a force to be reckoned with. Heck, even the holidays won't get in the way of these two affirming to anyone and everyone around them that they are not to be underestimated and that they're in it for the long haul. You could try go into this story as a standalone, but knowing their history as individuals and as a couple will give readers a better appreciation as to their journey. This story may be only first read in the Meet Me Under the Mistletoe anthology, but it's certainly whetted my appetite for whatever else may be in the offing, each of which I shall happily indulge in as time permits! Five stars for Godwin's O Holy Night.
