Review: I'm Here by Adam Arbiter

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Gay Romance Reviews ARC Team.

I had a feeling my heart was going to be put through it's paces with this book, and I was proven right. I'm Here is the debut release of Adam Arbiter, and it's an M/M love story that takes place on the front lines of the Second World War.

This was a tale of love being found and innocence being lost in the most adverse of circumstances. Garret Clarke and Simon Cooper captured my heart and their story held my fascination. Arbiter doesn't hold back in his depiction of the harsh realities of war, but the same can be said with his description of the friendship and love that blossomed between his main characters.

This was a heartrending read, but one that reminds us that love is a worthwhile risk and can survive the brutality of war. I'm giving I'm Here 4.5 stars and look forward to reading more from this promising author.
