Review: Take My Dare by J. Kenner (Stark International #3.2)

Note: This ARC was provided by InkSlinger PR in exchange for an honest review.

Take My Dare is the second novella--the first one being Steal My Heart--in bestselling author J. Kenner's Stark International series featuring husband and wife Jackson and Sylvia Steele. Both novellas follow the three original full-length novels in the series, Say My Name, On My Knees, and Under My Skin, and it is highly recommended that those be read before heading into the novellas in order to have the entire back story concerning the main characters, especially since both Jackson and Sylvia are already married and now have kids in these two novellas.

Jackson and Sylvia Steele are living the kind of life other people envy. They're joyously married to one another, have two precious children they adore, and want for nothing. But nothing can stay idyllic for long, especially not after photographs of Sylvia surface, leading her feel as if her past refuses to allow her to be happy. Jackson will do anything and everything within his power to make sure that the woman he loves most is safe, but could this possibly be the one time that Sylvia's husband will be left helpless in protecting her or will love once again prevail?

As always, J. Kenner packs a punch and the fact that this is a novella, meaning it's a rather quickie of a read, highlights how she's able to give readers a story worth telling and sharing with fans of this series. This is a romantic suspense story so I'm not going to give any spoilers. Suffice it to say that if you've followed Jackson and Sylvia Steele's story from the beginning, you're going to want to read this four-star follow-up. Take My Dare also happens to include the first novella, Steal My Heart, which is also available for free via the author's newsletter subscription. ♥
