Review: Private Property by Skye Warren (Rochester #1)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Valentine PR.

Skye Warren is kicking off a new series, and I'm very much hooked! Private Property is the first book in the Rochester series, and what an introduction it was! We have Beau Rochester and Jane Mendoza--he's a thirty-six-year-old billionaire who lost his brother and sister-in-law, leaving him the guardian to his seven-year-old niece, Paige; she's the nineteen-year-old nanny sent by an agency to watch over Paige. Beau needs Jane to do her job so he can focus on his business, and what Jane needs is to focus on her job in order to have the money to pay for her college education. What neither of them needs is a distraction, but could the desire they feel for each other ultimately lead to destruction?

As always, Skye Warren brings the romance and the suspense, both of which had me eager to keep flipping the pages till I got to that cliffhanger ending that may or may not have caused me to scream a wee bit in frustration. I honestly shouldn't have been surprised since this isn't the first go-around with a Warren-penned series. The blurb for this series starter may make it sound like a nanny romance, but it was so much more than that. Beau and Jane draw you in, and goodness, there's simply no letting go. So, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise when I tell you that  I desperately need the second book, Strict Confidence, ASAP! While I wait for May, I'm giving Private Property five stars.
