Review: One More Time by Aurora Rose Reynolds (Ruby Falls #2)

It's been about four years since I read the very first Ruby Falls novel, Falling Fast, and while the wait between books has been long, Aurora Rose Reynolds made it worthwhile, thanks to a good story and to a certain main character. The song "Time and Tide" by Basia popped into my head while reading One More Time because of how much time it took for fans and readers to finally get Tide Goodman's book! If you've read Falling Fast, you'll probably remember Tide, and he was someone whose story has been a long time coming.
One More Time is the story of Tide Goodman and Aria Heart, two people who find love in their hometown of Ruby Falls, Tennessee. It's been years since Aria left Ruby Falls, but after going through a divorce, she's back. She's even purchased a home--a fixer upper, if you would--and it's in desperate need of repairs. When Tide shows up as her contractor, she can't help but notice that the boy she crushed on in high school has grown up to be a gorgeous and truly good man--one who happens to also be a great father to his daughter, Olivia. Is it possible that the happily-ever-after that Aria has been looking for could only be found in her hometown? Is she brave enough to take a chance on love one more time?
Aurora Rose Reynolds delivered a enjoyable romance, one that was lighthearted and entertaining throughout. I already had an inkling what a fantastic main character Tide could be when I "met" him in Falling Fast, but talk about exceeding my expectations! Cue the swoon! I was thrilled that he was finally getting his chance at his own happy ending since his best friend already got his in the first book. I liked getting to know Aria, and I think that they were well-suited. It was fun having Connor and Gia here as well, but One More Time was truly Tide and Aria's (and Olivia's!) story and it was a good one. Four stars.
