Review: Priceless Ink by Giulia Lagomarsino (Cortell Brothers #5)

Priceless Ink is the fifth novel in Giulia Lagomarsino's Cortell Brothers series, and this time around, we've got Joe Cortell's story. At thirty, Joe is the youngest among his brothers and lives a good life with his own tattoo shop and as part of the Shadows Motorcycle Club. When a runaway bride asks him for a ride on his motorcycle, he obliges, but he soon figures out that she's no meek damsel in distress. Sofia Lancaster decides she shouldn't marry the guy her parents have approved of, and running off on the day of her wedding was as good as any. One look at the hot guy with the leather jacket and tattoos straddling a motorcycle, and she knows she has nothing in common with him. They clash and the bicker, but that underlying thrum of attraction? It could very well be the start of something...priceless. The question is, what will it take for both of them to make a stand?

Oh, Joe, Joe, Joe... The guy's managed to make an impression on me from the moment he makes his presence known in the Cortell Brothers series starter. I wouldn't necessarily call him a scene stealer, but once he's on the page, there's no veering away from him. So naturally, I was excited when I learned that he would get his turn in the proverbial spotlight. Joe has always been the sort of main character that's easy to like. His older brothers are also quite protective of him, although to be fair, they're all rather protective of each other. Now, Sofia was a wee bit more of the type of person that I didn't like straightaway. It was clear that she and Joe were from different worlds, so it took a bit for me to warm up to her. Aside from the romance, the family dynamics was my favorite thing about this book as it has been throughout the series. Four stars go to Priceless Ink.
