Review: Desperate to Touch by W. Winters (Hard to Love #2)

Seth King still wants me. He wants me to be his. That realization comes with one of my own. I want to be his. I've been waiting to be his again.

It feels as if Hard to Love was foreplay and Desperate to Touch the heart-poundingly thrilling peak of W. Winters's new series, but that isn't to say that the third and final book will find this trilogy easing up, not if I'm to base it on this author's past work. With appetites whetted by the series starter, book two was decadence personified, giving readers tension and angst mingling with years of love and passion neither one of the main characters have ever truly forgotten even during their years of separation. A quick note: Desperate to Touch must be read AFTER Hard to Love. These books--alongside the upcoming last one, Tempted to Kiss--are connected and have to be read in order.

Eight years have passed since Laura Roth ran from the man she loved and the life of crime that he had been immersed in. While her heart may have survived being torn apart when Laura left Seth, she knows all too well that it will only ever belong to him. So when he makes a conscious effort to make his presence known, she realizes the time had finally come--for her to pay for her perceived sins to the man she loves and for her to seize the chance to be in the presence of Seth King and to give in to her desperation to touch him, even if it's for one just one last time.

My attention was fully engaged and my heart thrumming in anticipation while reading this book, and for good reason. There was nothing that could have distracted me the entire time I had my tablet in my hands because W. Winters ensured not a single thing could compare when it came to demanding my devotion to Seth and Laura's engaging tale. No spoilers; no tidbits. Just absolute satisfaction on my end with Desperate to Touch. Five-plus stars. ♥

Review: The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan (Roommates #1)

I do believe I've found myself a new book boyfriend to drool, erm, swoon over in Cannon Roth, male main character in bestselling author Kendall Ryan's Roommates series starter, The Room Mate . This had a familiar romance trope--falling-for-your-best-friend's-sibling--and yet I didn't find it boring or tiresome in any way.
