Review: Dare Me Tonight by Carly Phillips (Knight Brothers #3)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Social Butterfly PR.

Ooh, I do love me a crossover book involving two of my favorite series, and in the case of Carly Phillips's Dare Me Tonight, it's a novel that crosses over the author's Knight Brothers series with her much-loved Dare to Love series! Now, you can pretty much go into this new book without having read any of the previous books in either series, BUT there's a certain kind of thrill when you are familiar with the two series and you know the history involving both families, so... Yeah, I'm recommending that they be checked out. Or not. Again, this CAN be read on its own.

Dare Me Tonight is the final Knight Brothers book--at least, that's my assumption given that all three brothers AND their sister now have each of their stories told--but not the last Dare to Love book (although I wouldn't be surprised if the next book involving a Dare sibling turns out to be the launchpad for a spin-off series...but this is total guesswork on my part!). The eldest Knight sibling, thirty-one-year-old widower and CEO of Knight Time Technology Ethan Knight, and the youngest Dare sibling, twenty-three-year-old recent college graduate Sierra Dare.

After learning of his late wife's betrayal, Ethan Knight became a man who no longer had time for commitment and relationships. When he agrees to be the escort to his new business partner, Ian Dare's, youngest sister, he certainly doesn't expect to sleep with Sierra Dare and take her virginity. It was supposed to be nothing more than a one-time thing, especially since he lives in New York and Sierra lives in Miami, but a new development has him working with the young woman he can't stop thinking about--the same young woman who is now pregnant with his baby.

From a simple hook-up to a very complicated turn of events, Ethan and Sierra's story has proven to be my favorite one in the Knight Brothers series. I loved the push and pull between these two main characters, and how Ethan had to earn his place in Sierra's life even as she ensures him that she would never take away his right to their child. Can I also just say that I've missed Ian Dare and his very alpha billionaire ways? Oh, and that development regarding Robert Dare? Color me not surprised. Curious? Go read the book already! Five stars for Dare Me Tonight. ♥
