Review: Mixologist by Mila Hart

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Enticing Journey Book Promotions.

Mixologist is my first read from Mila Hart--the writing duo of authors Kristie Leigh and Stephie Walls--but it certainly won't be my list, having already added their debut release, No Strings, to my to-be-read list after having finished this latest book of theirs. This new read uses the older woman-younger man trope with a twist--pun not intended!--and has a whole lot of hot foreplay and even hotter sex plus a healthy dose of romance. It's very low on angst, although there is the expected complication to their relationship, and this quick read does end quite happily.

When "Mixologist" sends "WickedWyn" a photo of his...assets...via SnapChat, all it was supposed to be was a way for him to get a reaction out of her--to fluster that poised and put-together woman who's snagged his interest and invaded his fantasies. Pretty soon, they're exchanging messages--both naughty and nice--and the connection is obviously a two-way street. But will it last when thirty-six-year-old Bronwyn James finds out her online friend is Kane Nix, the really gorgeous twenty-five-year-old bartender from her favorite bar or will their differences win out?

This was a fun-filled introduction to this new author slash writing duo, and I enjoyed all the dirty messaging and picture swapping that Kane and Bronwyn were engaging in before he revealed who he was to her. Everything that followed that was a great mix of romance and sex. There were a couple of times where the story did feel a wee bit rushed, but I don't have any major things about the book to gripe about, and my first ever Mila Hart read turned out to be a really good one. Mixologist was a pretty quick read that was fun and flirty from start to finish. 4.5 stars. ♥
