“To describe what I feel for you as love is like calling the sun hot. It's so much more than that. i've lived on my love for you for my whole life, even before I met you... I would never have stopped trying to find a way for us.”

What a journey it has been with Carter Bosh and Elisabeth Wells! Just like these two, my heart's been through the wringer over the span of the three gut-wrenching novels that relayed their tale of love and destiny and the lies we tell ourselves in order to go on surviving. Carter and Beth were tested by the passing of time, the hidden truths, and fate throwing anything and everything their way to see if the faith they had in themselves, each other and their love could withstand it all. These two proved, though, that nothing worth having comes easy...even true love.

Carter Bosh loved Elisabeth Wells as much as Elisabeth Wells loved Carter Bosh. Unfortunately, love isn't always enough. Wishing for forever comes with no guarantees, and when things didn't go their way, Carter and Beth were forced to accept a painful possibility--that maybe theirs was a future that had no right to happen. With their paths going in different directions, they forged lives that had little to do with each other, living every day with someone who wasn't the one person they loved and wanted most. The past keeps them shackled; can they ever break free?

It should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway: the three Forever novels MUST be read in order--Between Now and Forever, Between Now and Heartbreak, and Between Now and Always. Another must? A box of tissues, especially if you're a crier like me. The prologue in the first book felt like an assurance that everything was going to be okay, but I'll be honest, I worried about these two. They could only take so much! But I persevered, just like Beth and Carter, and Dylan Allen kept her promise: It. Was. Worth. It! Five-plus stars for Between Now and Always. ♥
