Review: Fighting for Rain by BB Easton (Rain #2)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Social Butterfly PR.

The world was supposed to end on the 23rd of April, but Rainbow Williams and Wes Parker lost everything that mattered prior to that deadline--their families, their homes, the lives they'd led. But the date has come and gone, and now, it's the 24th of April, with Rain and Wes coming to terms with both their reality and the unknown. Their situation is far from simple and new complications aren't just on the horizon--they're coming without warning and coming in strong. They vowed to be by each other's side going forward, but who will crack first under the pressure?

Ah, this book has me wishing the days would speed by at a faster clip because I seriously need to get my greedy hands on the third and final novel. I mean, come on?! Can you blame me, what with that ending BB Easton left fans and readers with?!? Gah! If you're going to read this book, you need to do two things first: one, read the series starter in the Rain trilogy, Praying for Rain; and two, make sure you have two to three hours (feel free to adjust according to how quickly or slowly you read) because you're not going to want to go anywhere while reading this!

Rain and Wes are one of those couples that who are in such extreme and dire circumstances, yet there's this inkling of hope that's there. Sure, they've only known each other for a handful of days, but this isn't a case of insta-anything, people, not when they're thrown into life-altering situations time after time. My expectations were high after Praying for Rain, BB Easton surpassed them all, and now, she's set everything up quite nicely for the final novel, Dying for Rain. I'm awarding Fighting for Rain five stars. Methinks I shall remain strapped in till January 30th. ♥
