Review: Tease Me by J. Kenner (Stark International Security #3)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Social Butterfly PR.

It's been a good, long while since the husband-and-wife duo of Ryan Hunter and Jamie Archer had a book solely dedicated to them, but J. Kenner's latest release is the newest in the Stark International Security series which features the head of Stark Security and the entertainment reporter. Tease Me is set mostly in London, what with Ryan handling certain matters there for Stark Industries for an extended period of time. When Jamie decides to head across the pond to surprise her husband, she's the one who ends up surprised. A woman named Felicia Cartwright (mistakenly called Felicia Randall in the blurb--her father's name Randall Cartwright) is making her presence felt but not quite known. She's reaching out to Ryan, and while Jamie trusts her husband, he hesitates to provide needed information on his connection to this woman. Ryan never thought he would see Felicia again, not after the circumstances of when they were last together. He failed her once before; could this be his opportunity to make it up to her, and if Ryan does, how will her re-appearance in his life affect his own relationship with his wife?

In the three years since Ryan and Jamie last had their own book in Tempt Me, readers have gotten glimpses of them in the other Stark books, but now they're finally in the spotlight with the third Stark International Security book. It was great getting reacquainted with these two on a more "personal" level. The last book they had, they'd gone from boyfriend and girlfriend to husband and wife, and they're certainly the latter here in the new book, but it didn't feel as if a whole lot of their dynamic changed. They're still totally hot for each other and there's no questioning their love and devotion to one another. Of course, the complication that comes along tests their relationship and has Jamie wondering if she knows Ryan as much as she thought she did. The mystery and suspense elements of the book where quite good, and they were balanced rather well with with the more romantic aspects, making for an entertaining and intriguing read. I enjoyed reading Tease Me and can't wait to see what else J. Kenner has up her sleeve for the Stark book universe. I'm giving this Stark International book 4.5 stars. ♥
