Review: An Irresistible Chance by Kim Loraine (Irresistible Langstons #1)
Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Grey's Promotions.
Kim Loraine kicks off her new Irresistible Langstons with a single-parent romance. An Irresistible Chance belongs in the same world that Loraine's Ryker Ranch and Wilde Horse Ranch are part of, and there are cameo appearances from characters from both series. That being said, you could dive into this series starter without reading either series, although based on my own experience, I did have a heightened appreciation for the story.
An Irresistible Chance finds Hawk Langston in desperate need of a nanny for his four-year-old daughter, Carly, and with a little help from his friends, he's got the perfect candidate. There's one problem, though... Daisy Capshaw is the same woman he shared one scorching kiss with, and it's a kiss that neither of them has forgotten about. For how long can a rancher from Sunrise, Montana resist his nanny from Silver Lake, California?
I have a thing for single-parent romances, and this was certainly an entertaining one. The story pretty much plays out the way I expected it to, although Carly could definitely give all other precocious children a run for their money. I was also glad that there wasn't the usual drama from exes. Having a few Rykers and Wildes was a fun bonus. An Irresistible Chance was a four-starred romance that has me looking forward to more from this series.
