Review: Elves with Benefits by Jana Aston (Reindeer Falls #4)

Jana Aston is back with her latest batch of Christmas romance novellas from her Reindeer Falls series. Elves with Benefits features Maggie Harrison, a holiday enforcement officer and lover of all things Christmas, and Ryan Sheppard, a successful architect who doesn't give a hoot about the holidays. The two are as opposite as you can get, but Maggie takes her job seriously, so ticketing Ryan for his offenses is a must. Who cares if she may be nursing a crush on the grump? He's an embarrassment to what Reindeer Falls stands for. You'd think he'd be a bit more in the Christmas spirit given that this is his hometown, but Ryan's only around to get the home his late uncle left him ready to be sold. Of course, he's going to have to hit pause on that plan, no thanks to the red-headed elf informing him of a moratorium on selling houses in Reindeer Falls during December. So, why not indulge in some holiday merrymaking with the redhead who's got his bells a-ringing?

The first Reindeer Falls collection from a couple of years ago had three fun holiday reads, and it looks like this second collection is merrily following in its predecessor's footsteps. Maggie and Ryan had awesome banter going on between, and add to that their fabulous chemistry, and this was a twosome to be reckoned with. The story was fast-paced but never felt rushed (because no one wants that!). I enjoyed this series starter, and I'm also looking forward to reading more about Maggie's best friends, Sutton and Lexi, and Ryan's brothers, Jake and Carter, as the series moves forward. Four stars for Elves with Benefits.
