Review: Dirty Slide by Lauren Blakely & KD Casey (Dirty Players #1)


Ummm, I'm going to need more from this new writing duo. Like a full-on series consisting of MANY books. Times ten. Because if this free novella is any indication of what we can expect from their upcoming Dirty Steal novel next year, readers are in for dirty deliciousness and a whole lot of scoring... on and off the field.

Dirty Slide was a fantastic read with two main characters from rival baseball teams. Chris Garnett and Josh Spencer had so much tension simmering between them, so all that anticipation made everything even more enticing. While this was a relatively quick read, I got everything I could have asked for. The ending did feel more happy-for-now than happily-ever-after, but I'm not complaining. Bonus points for cameo appearances from Blakely's Men of Summer series and Casey's Unwritten Rules.

I'm excited for Dirty Steal next year and hopefully hordes more from the Dirty Players series and the tandem of Lauren Blakely and KD Casey. Five stars for Dirty Slide!
