Review: Best Kept Secret by Skye Warren (Rochester #3)

Skye Warren has made the wait for the third and final book in her Rochester trilogy absolutely worth it, rewarding the enthusiasm of fans and readers with a satisfying conclusion to Beau Rochester and Jane Mendoza's story. Let's not forget that Paige Rochester is also part of their journey, and just like her uncle and her nanny, she deserved happiness and a more secure future.

Best Kept Secret picks up immediately where Strict Confidence left off. Yes, that basically means that the books MUST be read in order, beginning with Private Property. There are cliffhangers in the first two books, but with all three already out and about, this is the perfect time to binge this trilogy. Threats abound and secrets remain. Will love cost Beau and Jane their lives?

I don't want to give anything away, thus, I shall not be dropping hints, aka details. There's quite a bit that's revealed in this final Rochester book, and while we know that a happily-ever-after awaits our main characters, getting to that point was easier said than done. I'm going to miss Beau, Jane, and Paige, but Best Kept Secret was the happy ending they deserved. Five stars.

Review: The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan (Roommates #1)

I do believe I've found myself a new book boyfriend to drool, erm, swoon over in Cannon Roth, male main character in bestselling author Kendall Ryan's Roommates series starter, The Room Mate . This had a familiar romance trope--falling-for-your-best-friend's-sibling--and yet I didn't find it boring or tiresome in any way. This has both heart and heat as well as lighthearted humor along with a bit of heart-tugging angst and it's headlined by a couple of main characters that I was totally smitten with from the moment Paige got a pretty good idea of just how much her best friend's younger brother Cannon had grown up from the nerdy boy who followed them around like a puppy when they were kids.
