Review: Mister Romance by Leisa Rayven (Masters of Love #1)

Note: This ARC was provided by the author via Nina Bocci PR in exchange for an honest review. “How do you not know by now that I love you more than I thought I could love anyone? It’s sad and pathetic and wrong how much I love you, and most days I’m so desperate to see you and touch you, I want to punch myself in the face.” Whoa my God. I am so revoltingly in love with Leisa Rayven's writing! I've been a fan from the moment I met Cassie Taylor and Ethan Holt in her debut smash hit, Bad Romeo , which was the series starter of Starcrossed , back in 2014. With Mister Romance , she not only starts off her new series, Masters of Love , with a kiss and a bang, she's reiterated why so many fans and readers have added her to their list of go-to authors. Her latest fictional endeavor is every bit the romantic comedic masterpiece I was both expecting and hoping it would be, but she also managed to surpass those hopes and expectations by keeping it cliffhanger-free (yay!) and

Review: Riot Street by Tyler King

Note: This ARC was provided by Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. “This whole time,” I tell him, hugging my chest against the cold, “I’ve been waiting for that day I wake up and I’ve almost forgotten to miss you, but it doesn’t come. No matter how hard I pretend it will.” When an author amazes you with their debut release, the stakes are even higher when it comes to their sophomore effort. Tyler King more than impressed me with The Debt , and while reading and reviewing her second novel was a no-brainer, my expectations were astronomically high. So, did Riot Street  live up to said expectations? Why, yes. Yes, it did, and in a way that has me already antsy for more from this clearly gifted storyteller. This was the tale of two people who were connected to each other even before they actually met face to face. Their romance has layers upon layers of complexities, which made it far more interesting than your run-of-the-mill tr

Release Blitz: Live Out Loud by Marie Meyer

Live Out Loud by Marie Meyer Release Date: April 30, 2017 Forever About Live Out Loud I thought I'd live in silence forever . . . and then I met him. I'll never be able to hear, but music has always been a source of comfort for me. Rather than listen to the rhythm, I can actually feel the beat pulsing through me. It's pure bliss. So the moment I saw Thorin playing his guitar, I was mesmerized. I'd never seen anything more beautiful . . . or intimate. I couldn't tell where his body ended and the song began. He's everything I need in my life . . . I'm falling fast, hard, and deep. I want him more than anything. But while I live in silence, Thor lives in secrets. He's holding something back—something that's keeping this intensity, this longing from being real. And the silence may be too loud to bear . . . Read my five-starred review of Live Out Loud . Review: Live Out Loud by Marie Meyer

Image
Note: This ARC was provided by Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. After reading Live Out Loud , I couldn't help but wonder to myself why the hell I hadn't read anything of Marie Meyer's prior to this latest release of hers. Yes, I was quite impressed, and no, this won't be my first and last Meyer read. Also, I hope this spawns a couple of spin-offs for two supporting characters or maybe it's the beginning of a series, but I'll get to that later in my review. I've read more than my fair share of rock star romances before, and I've even read a couple involving one of the main characters being hearing impaired, but I loved how the author gave her protagonists, twenty-four-year-old car mechanic slash rock star in the making Thorin Kline and twenty-six-year-old pharmacology graduate student and YMCA volunteer Harper King, such personality and individuality, that it was a struggle not to fall in love wit

Review: Caleb's Choice by Sarah Hadley Brook

Image
Note: This ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Caleb's Choice is the newest novella from Sarah Hadley Brook, and it's my second read from her, the first one being The Great Pretender last year. This time around, she gives readers a sports romance set in the world of minor league baseball. Twenty-four-year-old Caleb Dodson has always loved baseball, and while he enjoys playing for the minor league team of the Rain Valley Rabbits, his dream continues to be to make it to the majors. He also happens to be gay, but his sexuality isn't something that's up for public consumption, choosing to remain in the closet for the time being. The Rabbits's new announcer, though, may have Caleb reconsidering his options for the first time.  Twenty-five-year-old Lucas Landry is excited to be an on-air talent for Rain Valley's radio station. But when he's asked to temporarily take over as the announcer for the town's baseball team, L
