Review: The Sinner & the Saint by RJ Scott (Ellery Mountain #8)

Note: This ARC was provided by the author via Signal Boost Promotions in exchange for an honest review.

While I may have read the first three books in the Ellery Mountain series last year, I've just spent this week catching up on the last five, and I am once again reminded why I adore RJ Scott's writing as much as I do. She gives me the angst that I'm addicted to while still writing love stories that leave me with a smile on my face. IN this eighth book, readers meet The Sinner & the Saint, British actor Nick Merrick and former army medic Ben Rockwell. But who between these two lost men is really the sinner, and which one could possibly be the saint?

Nick Merrick escapes scandal in London in hopes of finding a much needed timeout in his friend and fellow actor's home in Ellery Mountain, Tennessee. When he's accosted by Dr. Ben Rockwell not just once but twice, Nick wants to get as far away from the guy as possible, and the feeling appears to be mutual. Soon enough though, their paths intersect time and again, until there's no denying the attraction between them. With both of them leaving Ellery Mountain in a few weeks, neither can offer more than sex...or could they, if given a chance?

This was an enemies-to-lovers romance that had two very strong-willed men who got off on the wrong foot only to cross paths again and realize that the other foot was still the wrong one. There wasn't a whole lot of love lost between Nick and Ben, so their going from dislike to like and then more had me flipping from one page to the next until I got to their expected yet still endearing happy ending. I'm not sure if this is the end of the Ellery Mountain series or not; either way, RJ Scott scores another winner with the four-starred The Sinner & the Saint. ♥
