Review: Iron Princess by Meghan March (Savage #2)

Note: This ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

“You don’t have any fucking idea what you do to me. You’re an unholy temptation.”

What's a girl to do when she finds out that the man she wants to get closer to could be the very kind of man that she needs to run from? Well, that's the predicament Temperance Ransom finds herself in, and she's at an utter loss as to what to how to handle the situation she's stuck in with the man with no name, who is revealed to be Kane Savage. How can she trust a man who doesn't seem to have the capacity nor the willingness to trust anyone else? And when she finds out exactly what it is that he's meant to do, Temperance realizes that Kane is a danger to more than just her heart. She's always been able to think on the fly, to solve the problems that crop up at the distillery, to meld pieces of metal to create unbelievable art. Now, however, it feels as if everything is falling apart. When everything has been said and done, will be there anything left for them to piece together?

A quick reminder: you will need to read Savage Prince before you can start reading Iron Princess. And yes, that basically means that you'll have to read both these books before heading into the third and final book, Rogue Royalty, which is due for release in less than a month's time. As is my practice when it comes to reviewing Meghan March's recent novels, I'm not going to share any more details than the ones I mentioned in my opening paragraph. Trust me, no one likes spoilers, especially when it comes to romance novels with more than a hint of suspense and mystery to them. What I can tell you is that this book, just like its predecessor, ends in a cliffhanger, and while I do have my own theories as to what I think may be going on with that ending, I'm still on pins and needles while waiting for May 22nd to get here. The first book was good; this second one proved to be better. The stakes are high and the expectations much higher. Five-plus stars go to Iron Princess. ♥
