Review: She: Part Two by Annabel Fanning (She #2)

Note: This ARC was provided by RockStar Lit PR in exchange for an honest review.

Gemima Samuels and Logan Leary are in love and while other people may be taken aback by the speed with which their relationship has evolved, they continue to move toward their happily-ever-after. But the outside world is clamoring for their attention and with their respective work responsibilities as well as both of them meeting each other's families, both Gemima and Logan will have to hold on to one another and have faith that the love they share is strong enough to surpass every single obstacle they'll encounter.

Annabel Fanning's She: Part Two picks up where its predecessor left off and while Gemima and Logan may have had a conflict-free beginning to their whirlwind romance, they know find themselves facing challenges from the outside and even within. After all, they may be very much in love, but there's still a lot for them to learn about each other. There are tests that they'll have to overcome but I didn't consider the tests anything that may have threatened to end what they had because these two were stronger together.

In the first book, it often felt as if Gemima and Logan were in this bubble that had them floating on all those happy love vibes. I was glad to see that they were up against certain issues, albeit nothing overly major, that tested their mettle as a couple. As always, these two were great main characters, but I quite enjoyed their interactions with their respective families and among their friends. This also had a bit more humor but also a tad more drama and angst compared to the first book, especially when it came to family.

There were still noticeable errors in the book that I think were overlooked in the editing phase, and my observation that Gemima and Logan sounded more British at times than actual Americans still stands. While I did enjoy the first book, I found myself liking this sequel more, and maybe it did have to do with the added conflict that you find in the story.  Take note that there's a free bonus chapter told from Logan's POV on the author's website. All in all, She: Part Two left me with a satisfied smile on my face. 4.5 stars! ♥
