Review: Tempted to Kiss by W. Winters (Hard to Love #3)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.

I will never forget the way he said it. He brought it to life by speaking the words. Seth King loves me. I'll never let him take it back. He's not allowed o take those words back. Ever. They belong to me now. I knew he did, I've always known, but hearing him say it is something else. Something bigger, something I couldn't have prepared for.

Well, now... My heart is, for lack of a better word, a mess. Bits and pieces were being nicked as I read this third Hard to Love book, which wasn't a surprise since that's what tends to happen when I read W. Winters's stories (and this is coming from someone who has yet to read ALL of her books!). However, if I'd hoped to have something left of my poor, battered heart, I was sorely mistaken, especially with that cliffhanger of an ending! I may have had the shocked look on my face for a good minute or two, wishing desperately it was March 24th already so I could have the fourth (and final) book in my hands. But wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's get on with this review of mine.

Tempted to Kiss is book three in the Hard to Love series, and it should go without saying--although I'll still say it anyway--that these books MUST be read in order. There is one continuous story line with the same couple headlining it. The first three books, all of which are currently available, all end with cliffhangers, and I know not everyone likes to wait for weeks or months in between, so if you're the type to wait till all the books are out, the release date for the series conclusion is, as I earlier mentioned, on March 24, which is about a two-and-a-half-month-long wait. If you don't mind the wait, I hope it'll give you comfort when I tell you that this author has consistently made it worthwhile, based on the two series (Irresistible Attraction and Hard to Love) that I have read.

I knew going in to this book that it was going to end with a cliffhanger because the fourth book had already been announced, but talk about now being on tenterhooks! If Easy to Love wasn't already on my list of anticipated reads, I would have added it immediately after reading Tempted to Kiss. W. Winters had twists and turns and then some, and now, I need answers badly. I want to know how that last tidbit at the end of this book is going to affect Seth King and Laura Roth. After everything these two had already been through, they deserve a happily-ever-after, but you know what they say about things that are worth it being the ones you have to fight for the most and work the hardest for. Winters has given her readers what they deserve: a story and characters that inspire you to become emotionally invested and that's exactly what I am. Five-plus stars for Tempted to Kiss. Cue the countdown! ♥
