Review: Delight Me by J. Kenner (Stark Ever After #11)

Delight Me is the latest addition to the Stark Ever After series of novellas that are part of the Stark book universe created by bestselling author J. Kenner. This newest one, however, is different because it basically contains a hodgepodge of short stories that were originally shared with newsletter subscribers, snippets of text message exchanges, love notes, AND a brand-new quick read whose title is that for the entire collection. Think of this as a holiday present for all those fans and readers that may never get their fill of Damien and Nikki and all things Stark.
Allow me to focus this portion of my review on the newest novella. Yes, Damien is an alpha male through and through, his dominant personality on display inside both the bedroom and the boardroom. However, ever since he and Nikki got together, he's always put her first, and the same can be said now with their two daughters. The latest evidence of how willing he is to go above and beyond for his family is right here in Delight Me (the story). This family never fails to put a smile on my face, and we even get a few chapters told from Damien's third-person POV.
As a whole, this is the sort of read that will only work if you're very familiar with the Stark book universe, particularly the novels and novellas involving the couple that started it all, Damien and Nikki. Don't jump into this if you've never read the other books because you won't be able to fully appreciate nor understand Damien and Nikki's love story if you don't know how hard they fought to get to the happily-ever-after--which still has its bumps and potholes--they're now living. Delight Me was, indeed, a delightful read, and one I happily award four stars to. ♥
