Review: All We Are by Elisabeth Grace & Michelle Lynn (Ex-Factor #2)

All We Are is the conclusion to the angst-filled story of seemingly star-crossed and erstwhile lovers Jimmy Crawford and Lilah Robbie. Bestselling authors Elisabeth Grace and Michelle Lynn's Ex-Factor duet started off with a a whole lot of angst and a heavy dose of drama in All We Were, and with the cliffhanger ending that had Jimmy and Lilah going their separate ways, readers now find them six years later. Jimmy has moved on and made a life for himself that he can take pride in. He's successful and he's even engaged to be married, but there's this nagging feeling that lingers within him, and maybe what he needs is closure with the woman who changed his life in good and bad ways: Lilah. He goes looking for his ex, and when he finds her, the discovery he's about to make changes everything once again. Things ended badly between them six years ago, but is a happily-ever-after meant for Jimmy and Lilah?
There weren't a whole lot of surprises in this second book, and it didn't have that heaviness to it that its predecessor did. Now, I may be a self-confessed angst addict--and FYI, there still is quite a bit of angst here!--but I think that having the conclusion to the duet have a lighter feel to it actually works out better. After all, we're looking for a happy ending, whether it be Jimmy with someone else and same Lilah. Okay, okay. Maybe that's just me, because I'm pretty sure majority would rather have it be Jimmy AND Lilah. Me? I just want my main characters to be happy, and because I'm not going to be spoiling this duet for anyone, I'm not saying what happens. Sorry, not sorry. Just go ahead and read this already! Remember: the books must be read in order! 4.5 stars go to All We Are. ♥
