Review: Sin on the Strip by Lucy Farago (Women of Vegas #1)

Note: This ARC was provided by Kensington Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

She may own a strip club but there's far more to Maggie Anderson that meets the eye and private investigator Christian Beck is learning exactly that with each passing day he spends in her presence. There's no denying the attraction between them, but they need to stay focused on trying to find out who's behind the rapes and murders of several women, each of whom was connected to Heart's Desire, the club Maggie owns. But there are too many secrets lingering between Maggie and Christian, secrets that, when exposed, could either make or break or the case they're pursuing as well as what's going on between them.

Sin on the Strip is the first book in the romantic suspense series from author Lucy Farago entitled Women of Vegas. Even though I guessed correctly who the serial killer was the second he was mentioned in the story, I quite liked how the story played out and how everything was revealed, especially when it came to the motives behind the series of murders. There's a lot that goes on with the murders and then with Maggie's relationship with her father and Christian trying to deal with his own sister's murder years ago. There are also quite a few supporting characters but there were definitely some who piqued my interest.

Maggie was a heroine after my own heart. She was courageous and had a heart of gold, pursuing her dream of helping out women who needed what she had to offer and did so following her own set of rules. I felt that she had chemistry with Christian and they were effective as a couple. He was quietly intense and how could you resist a man who was that protective of the woman he was beginning to develop feelings for? With enough romance, mystery, and suspense to keep you entertained, Sin on the Strip was a great series starter and I've already got the second book on my to-be-read list. Check out this 4.5-starred read! ♥
