Review: My Beautiful Sin by J. Kenner (Fallen Saint #2)

Devlin Saint and Ellie Holmes's story continues in the second installment of J. Kenner's Fallen Saint series. Fair warning to newbies to the series: the books MUST be read in order because this has a continuing storyline throughout. Books one and two--My Fallen Saint and My Beautiful Sin, respectively--are already out, annd book three, My Cruel Salvation, is due for release in May. Now that we've gotten all that out of the way, allow me to share my thoughts on all things Devlin and Ellie and why their story must be read!
My Beautiful Sin picks up after the events in book one (which is why you NEED to read it FIRST). Devlin Saint cannot quite believe that he finally has Ellie Holmes in his life, especially after she learned certain truths about him. But as much as these two love each other, the fact remains that Devlin still has a cache of secrets that he's keeping from Ellie; and with her being the investigative reporter that she is, for how long will she be able to contain herself from digging for answers? Being with someone like Devlin could be risky.
J. Kenner continues to impress with her Fallen Saint series. The romance and suspense are ever-present, and Devlin and Ellie are the sort of main characters that you can't get enough of. I like seeing how much their relationship has grown over the span of two books, and with everything that's played out, I'm looking forward to finding out how Kenner will wrap it all up when the third book is released in May. Oh, and did I mention that we get Devlin's perspective in My Beautiful Sin? Totally had me le sighing. Four stars.
