Review: Wild Mistake by Kim Loraine (Wilde Horse Ranch #2)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Grey's Promotions.

Kim Loraine takes readers back to Sunrise, Montana with the second book in her Wilde Horse Ranch series, and this time around, we turn our attention to Luke Wilde, who's been paired up with his best friend's twin sister, Mackenzie Langston. Now, I know this book is labeled as the third book in the series on Goodreads, and it's the third AND fifth book on Amazon (go figure), but this is the second full-length book I've come across with a prequel short (and no, it isn't long enough to qualify as a novella) that "introduces" the series and the feud between the Wildes and the Rykers (Ryker Ranch series). All that being said, this new book can be read as a standalone since it features a different couple.

This was a fun read, as has been the case with the books from Kim Loraine that I've had the pleasure of reading over the past few months. I liked the chemistry between Luke and Mack, and I do think the fact that they've known each other for what feels like forever is one of the things that I found fascinating. They've both experienced heartbreak, so commiserating while on a vacation that was meant to be for Luke and his cheating ex was the perfect way for these two to connect beyond their relationship woes and the fact that they're tied together by Nash (aka Luke's best friend and Mack's twin brother). This author has proven she knows her cowboy romance very well. Four stars for Wild Mistake.
