Review: Mason by Michelle Heard (Trinity Academy #2)

Considering how good Falcon was, I was rather anxious to see how the second Trinity Academy novel would measure up. Well, any feelings of anxiousness were unfounded, thanks to the fact that I loved reading Mason. Just a quick heads-up: There is a story arc that began with book one and continues here in book two, so it would be best to read Falcon before reading Mason. I'm guessing that will be the same "protocol" for the third book, but I'll let you guys know whether or not it's so when that Lake release next week. For now, on to my review for book two.
The other girls in Trinity Academy may be eager beavers hoping to be chosen as Mason Chargill's assistant, but not Kingsley Hunt. The twenty-year-old would love to be doing anything other than "assisting" the twenty-two-year-old heir to CRC Holdings. Mason is cold and calculating, and he's determined to push Kingsley until she breaks. Unfortunately for him, Kingsley is no pushover and she'll push right back. Her sunny disposition could very well melt that icy veneer of Mason's, and with these two locked in a battle of button pushing, who'll cede defeat first?
Boy, did Mason and Kingsley give Falcon (Reyes) and Layla (Shepard) a run for their money! I can't choose between these two couples because they're equally endearing but in their respectively unique ways. This time around, I didn't prepare myself to not like Mason because after glimpses of him in the first book, I knew that he had his reasons for being the way he was, and goodness, but how his story broke my heart. Thank goodness someone like Kingsley became a part of his life because he deserved his own happy ending. Five stars for Mason! Bring on Lake! ♥
