Review: Cam Boy by Quinn Anderson (Murmur Inc. #3)

Note: This ARC was provided by Riptide Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

I can't believe this is the end of one of my favorite series! Waaah! Hotline was the series starter and it was what launched my love affair in with Quinn Anderson's stories in 2016. Action reinforced the faith I had in this series, and now Cam Boy closes it out. Now whether it's a temporary thing and the author decides to add a story or two later on or if this is truly the end for all things Murmur Inc. remains to be seen, but reading this third and currently final book was a bittersweet thing. However, this novel was quintessentially, perfectly, and simply Murmur Inc. I've read my fair share of books that have the porn industry, but none of those are quite like the gem that is Cam Boy!

Twenty-one-year-old Joshua Clemmons wants to move beyond minimum wage. The answer to his money woes could very well be Murmur Inc., an adult entertainment company that Josh thinks he'd do well in as a porn star. Any fantasies he has, however, are quickly dispelled, with the best and most memorable takeaway from his one filmed scene being his time with twenty-five-year-old porn veteran Michael Harwood. Maybe becoming a cam boy is more Josh's thing, but then so is being with Mike, but working for the same company could complicate things. Could there ever be a happy ending (both naughty and nice) for a disillusioned porn star and an aspiring cam boy?

Oh, Quinn Anderson, how you never fail to leave a smile on my face by the time I get done reading one of your books! Mike and Josh's story was extraordinary in that it didn't necessarily follow the footsteps of other porn romances (is there such a sub-genre or did I make one up just now?). This had quirk and quick-witted banter and all the heated and hearty goodness that I crave for in my love stories. Anderson delivers an unexpected love story set in the world of adult entertainment, and it's delivered with aplomb and inspires a whole lot of affection for both main characters. Cam Boy was everything I could have hoped for as Murmur Inc. comes to a close. Five stars. ♥
