Review: The Billionaire's Wedding by Geoffrey Knight (My Billionaire #2)

The Billionaire's Wedding is the sequel to the My Billionaire series starter, The Billionaire's Boyfriend, and finds Calvin Croft ready to marry Matt Darcy. With the idyllic Amalfi Coast as their backdrop, Cal wants nothing more than to ensure the man he loves has the wedding of his dreams. No expense to be spared, nothing to be overlooked--this was set to be everything needed to celebrate Cal and Matt's love for and commitment to one another. It seems, however, that no one was quite prepared for an uninvited guest to make an appearance that leaves everyone, especially Cal, at a loss as to how to proceed. All Matt has ever wanted is to have Cal by his side and be able to finally have him has his husband, but will there even be a wedding to speak of now that the past has made their presence known? In order to have his future with Matt, Cal may ultimately have to deal with his past.

There's a great deal of humor in this second My Billionaire book, and there were moments in the story that I found myself smiling at the silly things that Cal, Matt, and the rest of the characters would do and get themselves into. While Matt was such an easy main character to like and that affection was something that carried over from the first book to this latest one, I had a greater appreciation for Cal here, and a lot of it had to do with his handling of the quandary he found himself in here. Geoffrey Knight has, once again, given me a book that I enjoyed, and after a tiring day of constant movement, this was the sort of read I needed--one that allowed me to simply kick back and have a story lead me to quiet contentment by the end. I recommend the books be read in order--The Billionaire's Boyfriend followed by The Billionaire's Wedding--to get the full effect of Cal and Matt's love story. It gets four stars. ♥
