Review: Confessions of a Klutz by Abigail Davies (Confessions #1)

Well, hello there, Abigail Davies, and welcome to my must-keep-an-eye-on radar! I had never read anything by this particular author, but after having read the first novel in her Confessions series, consider her someone to watch out for in all the best ways possible. Her series starter, Confessions of a Klutz, was originally released in February of this year, and it took the re-release for me to discover both the author and the wacky heroine that is one Violet Scott.

Twenty-six-year-old Violet Scott is a klutz of epic proportions. She'd probably have a bed reserved just for her in the emergency room of the nearby hospital if that were possible based on the number of times she's landed there. Maybe some time away from California will be good for her, but New York has something--or rather someONE--who has her heart stumbling: her boss, hot and oh-so-hunky thirty-year-old Axel Taylor, CEO of Taylor Industries.

I adored Vi! She was like this much needed burst of sunshine in what's been a dreadful week since I'm down with the flu and all. I laughed myself silly in between coughing fits, what with everything that our dear heroine seemed to find herself in. Violet has proven to be one of the more unforgettable female main characters that I've come across so far this year, and that's saying something since I've been doing a hell of a lot of reading the past months.

In as much as I loved the comedy, I totally fell for the romance between Vi and Axel. These two were sweet and silly and absolutely swoony together. They've definitely set the bar unbelievably high for the rest of the series, and I've got my fingers and toes crossed that Abigail Davies is going to not just meet those lofty expectations but surpass them. Confessions of a Klutz easily garners five out of five stars, and I look forward to the rest of the series! ♥
