Review: Wait for You by Jennifer L. Armentrout writing as J. Lynn (Wait for You #1)

Note: This review was originally published on Goodreads.

Well, technically, I wanted to give this book 4.5 stars because, as with a previous book I rated and reviewed, the lead female character was a tad frustrating at times. But then I thought of all those darn cookies and loaves of bread plus Sunday breakfasts courtesy of Cam and I caved in and clicked on 5 stars (though overall, I'm still calling it 4.5 stars...).

Lead female character Avery went through a traumatizing event five years prior to the beginning of Wait for You and it continues to haunt her as she begins college and interacts with her new set of friends (the winsome twosome of Jacob and Brit) and the undeniably adorable Cam (so adding him to my ever-growing list of favorite book boyfriends). There were times that her inability to share what had happened to her made me want to shake some sense into her. And all that saying "no" for two months?! What the heck was up with that??? But oh well... I'm just glad with how certain issues were finally resolved.

I heard about the sequel focusing on Cam's younger sister Teresa and I'm suspecting it'll involve Jase since his reaction to her being on campus was...interesting, to say the least. Maybe the third one can be about Brit and Ollie? Hehe.

So, there you go. 4.5 out of 5 stars for Wait for You and I shall definitely be waiting for book two!
