Review: Be with Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout writing as J. Lynn (Wait for You #2)

Note: This review was originally published on Goodreads.

Ah, Jase and Tess... From the time these two saw each other on campus in the first book, Wait for You, I just knew there was something stronger than mutual attraction between them. Theirs is a beautiful story that was just waiting to be told and I'm so glad Jennifer L. Armentrout (aka J. Lynn) decided to make Be with Me all about them.

Teresa Hamilton and Jase Winstead shared one memorable kiss a few years ago and while neither have forgotten it, they do not discuss it and continue playing the roles they're more comfortable with, Tess as Cam's sister and Jase as Cam's best friend. Well, Tess would like to be more than just that but let's face it, most big brothers aren't really keen on their "baby" sisters and their best friends getting together.

Jase also happens to be keeping a secret, one that I pretty much guessed in the first chapter. It wasn't that it was obvious, just that I like trying to figure out everything as quickly as possible. It can be a bad habit at times. Hehe. Anyway, this secret is part of the reason Jase is hesitant to be in any sort of romantic relationship with girl, but most especially Tess.

I loved how these two tried avoiding each other but simply couldn't stop themselves whenever their paths crossed. The evolution of their relationship is different from that of Cam and Avery's but Jase and Tess also end up having to deal with something that Tess knows all too well.

Suffice it to say that Jase and Tess's road to their own happily ever after isn't all that smooth but you'll be glad you went along for the ride. I'm giving Be with You 4.5 stars. ♥
