Review: The Difference Between Somehow and Someway by Aly Martinez (The Difference #2)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.

Stop right now! Thank you very much. (And now I've got that Spice Girls song in my head as I type this.) This is where I tell you that The Difference Between Somehow and Someway is NOT a standalone, and it MUST be read AFTER The Difference Between Somebody and Someone. Both titles are penned by Aly Martinez and are part of her The Difference trilogy, and yes, that means books one and two end in cliffhangers. The conclusion to the series arrives mid-April, so if you choose to wait till the trilogy is complete, it won't feel like forever and you may spare yourself from feeling super antsy.

Book two picks up where book one left off, and well, that's basically all I'm going to tell you about that. Like I hinted at in my review for the first book, the less you know, the better. Bowen Michaels and Remi Grey's story is complicated, and that's me over-simplifying it. They have life-altering events that hit them, and Aly Martinez makes sure her readers are aware of what happened in both the past and the present. There's a twist at the end, one that makes absolute sense when you run through certain bits and pieces in these first two books. Suffice it to say, I'm already counting the days until I have the third and final book in the Difference trilogy in my oh-so-greedy hands. I'm handing The Difference Between Somehow and Someway 4.5 stars.
